Photography Exhibition Opens to Mark the Inauguration of the Lithuanian Honorary Consulate in Starigrad Added 2025-03-26 On March 21, Eduardas Borisovas, the Lithuanian Ambassador to Croatia, inaugurated the Lithuanian Honorary Consulate in Starigrad, headed by entrepreneur Marija Koić Pašić. To commemorate the occasion, the exhibition "Vilnius in Old Photographs" was opened at the City Lodge of the Zadar National Museum.
Lithuanian Independence Day Celebration in Zagreb Highlight Support for Ukraine Added 2025-03-12 A reception was held in Zagreb on 10 March to mark the 35th anniversary of the restoration of Lithuanian independence. Added 2025-05-20 Today, on 20 May, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, participates in the Foreign Affairs Council of the European Union in Brussels. The EU Foreign Ministers will discuss Russia’s aggression against Ukraine, military support and long-term security guarantees for Ukraine, tightening sanctions against Russia, and the use of frozen Russian assets.
Added 2025-05-20 Today, on 20 May, the Council of the European Union adopted the 17th package of sanctions against Russia. Targeted restrictive measures were imposed against further 17 persons and 58 entities responsible for actions that undermine or threaten the territorial integrity, sovereignty and independence of Ukraine.
Added 2025-05-19 The Government of Lithuania today, on 19 May, filed a case against Belarus at the International Court of Justice seeking the accountability of the Belarusian regime for organizing large-scale smuggling of migrants into Lithuania. The case concerns violations of states’ obligations under the United Nations Protocol against the Smuggling of Migrants by Land, Sea and Air (hereafter - ‘the Protocol’).

Added 2025-05-16 On 16 May in Estonia, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, Kęstutis Budrys, is participating in the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS). Together with the Ministers of nine other countries of the region, Budrys discussed sanctions against the Russian shadow fleet and signed a joint memorandum to strengthen the resilience of critical undersea infrastructure in the Baltic Sea at the governmental level.
